Chase was brought to our attention by a short video of him running after the van of our rescuer friend, Florentina, she had fed him on the streets on Romania. He was pretty determined that he wasn’t going to be left behind, and we felt that he had to be offered a space here in our foster care. We don’t know much about his early life but it was very clear that this young dog had been abandoned in the forest close to Valcea and left to fend for himself. Once here in foster it was clear that he had not had a lot of training, if any, or about anything!! But from day one he has always been keen to please, wanted to learn and is one of the most loving dogs we have had the pleasure to have in foster care. If you like the kind of dog who wants to give you the biggest bear hug of a cuddle then maybe Chase is the dog for you. Over the last couple of months he has matured into a strong healthy young dog and we just know he has so much potential in the right home … someone is going to be incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful dog as a loyal companion. The kind of home we are looking for is one experienced with large breed dogs who is willing to put time into exercising him, both mentally and physically, and to continue with ongoing training – the time put into this dog will be rewarded tenfold. Chase can be rehomed with dogs, preferably of the same size and strength as he can play rough and not all dogs enjoy this. However, when reprimanded for his over-zealous play by other dogs, he backs down and takes notice of what he is being told by them.
